Development of an in vitro bone model
Lecturer: Mgr. Radmila Žižková / Department of Tissue Engineering
Annotation: Bone substitutes are tested first on cell monocultures, then on animal subjects, and finally on humans. There is a desire to keep the number of used animals to a minimum, and thus there is a need to develop in vitro tissue models that mimic living tissue as closely as possible. In our case, this involves the development of a bone model made up of osteoclasts degrading old tissue and osteoblasts forming new tissue.
The seminar will be held in person, on Thursday, 1 June 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Bordo seminar room of the IEM CAS.
We are looking forward to your participation.
