V návaznosti na mezinárodní Den Země 🌍, který každoročně připadá na 22. dubna, jsme již tradičně podpořili výzvu 🗣 „Ukliďme kampus“. Den Země je připomínkou nutnosti chránit naše přírodní prostředí, a i my v ÚEM AV ČR si uvědomujeme, že zdraví člověka je neoddělitelně spojeno se zdravím naší planety.

Děkujeme touto cestou všem kolegům a kolegyním, díky kterým je náš areál opět „zdravější“.❤️

In connection with International Earth Day 🌍, celebrated annually on 22 April, we have traditionally supported the call 🗣 "Let´s Clean up the Campus". Earth Day reminds us of the need to protect our natural environment, and also we at the IEM CAS realise that human health depends on the health of our planet.

San Diego je druhé největší město v Kaliforni

San Diego je druhé největší město v Kalifornii a osmé největší město ve Spojených státech. Nachází se severně od státní hranice s Mexikem, přičemž přímo sousedí s mexickým městem Tijuana. Zdejší kongresové centrum nabízí cca 49000 m2 výstavních prostor včetně potřebného zázemí a dostatečného množství ubytovacích kapacit, díky čemuž je oblíbeným a vyhledávaným místem pro pořádání velkých společenských akcí včetně významných vědeckých konferencí.

San Diego is the second-biggest city in California and the eighth-largest city in the United States. It is located just north of the state border with Mexico, directly neighbouring Tijuana. The local convention centre offers approximately 49,000 m2 of exhibition space, including the necessary facilities and sufficient accommodation capacity, making it a famous and renowned location for hosting large social gatherings, including significant scientific conferences.

Před pár dny se naši vědci 👨‍🔬 z Oddě

Před pár dny se naši vědci 👨‍🔬 z Oddělení molekulární biologie nádorů vrátili ze své zahraniční cesty do Spojených států 🇺🇸, kde nás reprezentovali na významné mezinárodní konferenci 👉 AACR Annual Meeting 2024, kterou každoročně pořádá American Association for Cancer Research.

Konference probíhala ve dnech 5.–10. dubna 2024 v kalifornském San Diegu. Jedná se o vědeckou událost globálního významu, se zastoupením předních mezinárodních výzkumných center a laboratoří zaměřených na výzkum rakoviny.🔬

Jak uvádí sám organizátor této akce na svých webových stránkách, výroční setkání AACR Meeting "vyzdvihuje práci špičkových kapacit v oblasti výzkumu rakoviny z celého světa, od základních vědeckých poznatků, přes prevenci, biologické aspekty rakoviny, translační a klinické studie až po podporu přeživších pacientů".

Na konferenci již tradičně prezentoval své výzkumné projekty i náš tým, tentokrát ve složení:

👉 Michal Kroupa – The progression of chromosomal instability and aberrant DNA methylation during colorectal cancer development

👉 Kristýna Tomášová – Telomere length as a predictor of therapy response and survival in patients diagnosed with ovarian carcinoma

👉 Petr Hanák – CORSA Study: Telomere Length Measurement of 5371 Austrian Oncological Colorectal Carcinoma and Adenoma Patients and Healthy Controls and Relationship to Tumor Stage, Course of Disease and to Clinical, genetic, Life Style and Health Parameters

A few days ago, our scientists 👨‍🔬 from the Dept. of Molecular Biology of Cancer returned from their business trip to the United States, where they represented us at the 👉 AACR Annual Meeting 2024, a major international conference organised annually by the American Association for Cancer Research.

The conference took place in San Diego, California, from 5 to 10 April 2024. It is a scientific event of global significance, with representation from leading international cancer research centres and laboratories.

Our team also presented their research projects, this time consisting of Michal Kroupa, Kristýna Tomášová and Petr Hanák.
