The Czech Republic’s largest grant provider to support basic research, the Czech Science Foundation (GAČR) (open in a new window), will support 357 scientific projects over the next 3 years with CZK 2.75 billion.
We are very pleased that among the selected projects are also research projects of the IEM CAS that have succeeded in this strong competition. We congratulate all the principal investigators and wish them much success in their research.
OK3 – Medical and Biological Sciences
- Novel open-channel blockers of NMDA receptors with enhanced membrane-to-channel inhibition / Martin Horák, M.Sc. Ph.D. / Department of Neurochemistry
- Impact of Wnt signaling modulation on the heterogeneity and functions of NG2-expressing cells in the adult cortex following focal brain ischemia / Miroslava Anděrová, M.Sc. Ph.D. / Department of Cellular Neurophysiology
- Reconstruction of the spinal cord sensory pathway using an integrin approach to axon regeneration / Assoc. Prof. Pavla Jendelová, Ph.D. / Department of Neuroregeneration
Research project proposals go through a two-stage evaluation process involving more than 500 Czech scientists and hundreds of foreign experts. They guarantee both the expertise and objectivity of the evaluation process.
