Documents and data files addressed to the IEM CAS, the management of the Institute, constitutional bodies, research departments, or employees are accepted by the Institute’s Post Room.

Overview of data formats of documents accepted in digital form:
The Post Room accepts documents in digital form exclusively in the following formats: DOC, DOT, PDF, PDF/A, PNG, TIF/TIFF, JPG, JPEG/JFIF, MPEG-2, MPEG-1, GIF, XML, HTML/HTM, RTF, XLS, PPT, ODT, ZIP, RAR). Documents in digital form can also be delivered on portable data carriers (CD, DVD, USB flash disk).
If a document or a data file with a malicious code is received, the IEM CAS does not process it further and removes it immediately. In this case, the document or file is considered undelivered. If the sender’s electronic address can be identified, the IEM CAS shall immediately send a notification of the detection of the malicious code or the destruction of the document/file to this address.
Malicious code means:
- a virus file that can damage a workplace computer or information system
- a file in an inappropriate format, which makes it unreadable or unopenable
- a file in an unsopported format
