Air pollution affects us and can cause serious diseases, including cancer. But does it make sense to leave the cities for a weekend to the countryside or take a recovery holiday in the mountains? Is there a big difference between living in the country and living in the city in terms of the effect of air pollution on the body?

These and other questions were answered by toxicologist Pavel Rössner, head of the Department of Toxicology and Molecular Epidemiology. Doctor Rössner and his colleagues are currently evaluating three years of research within the AMBIEX project focused on the toxicity of outdoor air and its effects on human lung and olfactory cells.

The full interview can be found in the current issue of the 100+1 Zázraky medicíny (transl. Miracles of Medicine)(open in a new window – available only in Czech).
