    The President of the Czech Republic has appointed new professors, including Jan Malínský

    Yesterday, at the Carolinum of Charles University, the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, presented appointment documents to new professors nominated by the scientific and artistic councils of Czech universities.

    Among the newly appointed is cell biologist and director of the IEM CAS, Prof. Jan Malínský, PhD. His appointment represents a significant recognition of his long-term scientific and pedagogical work in cell biology and microscopy.

    The ceremony, held in the historic Great Hall of Carolinum, traditionally underscored the importance of academic degrees and the role of university professors in the development of education, science, and culture in the Czech Republic.

    We would like to congratulate Jan Malínský, Director of the IEM CAS, on his appointment and wish him many personal, pedagogical, and scientific successes.
