Pavel Vodička has received the Silver Memorial Medal of Charles University in Prague

The head of the Department of Molecular Biology of Cancer, Pavel Vodička, has received the Silver Memorial Medal of Charles University for his extraordinary and lifelong contribution to cancer research. The award was presented directly by the Rector of Charles University, Milena Králíčková, on the occasion of the official opening of the international conference CUCAP 2023.

The Charles University Memorial Medal is an award that can be given to members of the academic community of the University but also to persons outside the academic community who have made a significant contribution to the development of the University, one of the faculties or the field of science, education and academic freedom. The decision to award the medal is made by the Rector. University Memorial Medals are awarded in two grades (gold and silver), as well as historical medals and thematic commemorative medals.
