Radomír Pánek, President of the Czech Academy of Sciences, has appointed new Vice-Presidents of three scientific areas. Miroslava Anděrová, neuroscientist and long-time director of the IEM CAS, is taking on the position of Vice-President for Scientific Area II, alongside being a member of the Board of the Academic Council.
Within her agenda, she will be responsible for coordinating the conceptual direction of the 2nd Scientific Area and the scientific and organisational affairs of the 4th-6th Section. At the same time, she will represent the CAS in negotiations on the transfer of knowledge and technology into the application sphere and cooperate with relevant partners from the public and commercial sectors, including the Ministry of Health.
We warmly congratulate Dr. Anděrová on her appointment and wish her much success in this important and influential position.
