Annotation: Degenerative retinal diseases represent one of the main causes of vision loss worldwide. Current research indicates that local activation of immune cells plays an important role in the development of this disorder. Various mouse models have been established to study retinal degeneration, however, it is necessary to properly examine the immunological background underlying the progression of retinal cell degeneration. For this reason, our study focuses on evaluating immune responses across different experimental models of retinal disease.
