he half-year (winter) holidays are coming, and with them, also another edition of the “Ledová města” (Ice Cities) festival, which is organised by Pionýr (open in a new window, available only in Czech) under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. This event offers children the opportunity to learn about the history, sights and attractions of Czech cities and institutions that they often know only from school textbooks.
That is why we have decided to support this event, and we are the only research institution that will welcome Ice Cities’ visitors in its laboratories and offer an exciting science-popularisation program designed for children of younger school age.
