The nervous system at the intersection of cancer plasticity and metastasis

Time: 11:00–13:00
Venure: Turquoise Lecture Hall, IEM CAS
How does the nervous system influence cancer cell behaviour and the ability of these cells to form metastases? This question will be the focus of the lecture by our guest speaker, whose research brings together cancer biology and neuroscience. In a study published in Nature, his team demonstrated the transfer of mitochondria from neurons to cancer cells. It showed that this mechanism can enhance their ability to form metastases in experimental models.
The lecture will take place during his visit to the Czech Republic for the BIOCEV Days conference. Please share this invitation with colleagues at other institutions who may be interested in the topic.
We look forward to welcoming you.
