Chemické, biologické, radiační a jaderné hroz

Chemické, biologické, radiační a jaderné hrozby (CBRN) patří mezi nejvážnější rizika pro evropskou bezpečnost.🇪🇺 Jejich propuknutí bývá velmi rychlé a má zničující následky s mnoha vojenskými i civilními oběťmi. Při CBRN útoku by rychlá reakce s využitím dostupných, nákladově efektivních a snadno použitelných CBRN ochranných systémů mohla snížit zdravotní zátěž a ztráty na životech.

Právě to si klade za cíl nový projekt 👉 "Nano-SHIELD - Multifunkční nanovlákenné membrány jako CBRN štít pro novou generaci obranných a civilních ochranných prostředků", jehož součástí je také ÚEM AV ČR, konkrétně Oddělení tkáňového inženýrství a Oddělení nanotoxikologie a molekulární epidemiologie.

Výrobky Nano-SHIELD budou splňovat specifické požadavky biologické ochrany 😷 pro eliminaci bakterií, virů, rozklad chemických látek a snížení dopadů radiace a toxických molekul.

Cílem je vyvinout efektivní ochranné pomůcky pro obranné složky i civilisty, které budou jednoduše dostupné pro rychlou reakci v případě reálných CBRN hrozeb.

Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threats are among the key risks to European safety.🇪🇺 Their outbreak is often very rapid, with devastating consequences for military and civil victims. A quick response using available, cost-effective, easy-to-use CBRN protection systems could reduce the health burden and loss of life in a CBRN attack.

This is the aim of the new project 👉 "Nano-SHIELD - Multifunctional nanofiber membranes as CBRN Shield for next generation defence and civil application", in which the IEM CAS, specifically the Department of Tissue Engineering and the Department of Nanotoxicology and Molecular Epidemiology, is also involved.

Nano-SHIELD products will meet specific biological protection requirements 😷 for eliminating bacteria, viruses, degrading chemicals and reducing the impact of radiation and toxic molecules.

The goal is to develop effective protective equipment for defence forces and civilians that will be easily accessible for rapid response in case of real CBRN threats.

Minulý týden proběhla v polském hlavním měst

Minulý týden proběhla v polském hlavním městě Varšavě mezinárodní konference 👉 "The 3th V4SDB Meeting", kterou organizovalo mezinárodní vědecké sdružení "Visegrád Group Society for Developmental Biology" (V4SDB).

Cílem konference bylo představit nejnovější výzkumné projekty v oblasti vývojové biologie v regionu V4, tzv. Visegrádské čtyřky. Konference tak poskytla ideální akademickou platformu pro vědce z Polska, Maďarska, Slovenska a České republiky. Náš ústav reprezentovali vědci z 👉 Oddělení vývojové biologie a 👉 Oddělení plasticity buněčného jádra, jmenovitě 👨‍🔬 Ondřej Machoň, Erika Hudáčová, Tereza Znachorová a Helena Fulková, jejíž přednáška s názvem 🧑‍🏫 „The DNA single-strand break repair capacity of the mammalian oocytes and embryos“ byla zařazena do hlavního přednáškového cyklu.

Děkujeme tímto našim vědcům za skvělou prezentaci našeho ústavu a přejeme hodně úspěchů v jejich dalším výzkumu.🥰

The international conference 👉 "The 3rd V4SDB Meeting", organised by the Visegrád Group Society for Developmental Biology (V4SDB), took place last week in the Polish Capital city of Warsaw.

The conference aimed to present the latest research projects in the field of developmental biology in the V4 region, the so-called Visegrad Four. The conference thus provided an ideal academic platform for scientists from Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The IEM CAS was represented by scientists from the 👉 Department of Developmental Biology and the 👉 Department of Cell Nucleus Plasticity, namely 👨‍🔬 Ondřej Machoň, Erika Hudáčová, Tereza Znachorová and Helena Fulková, whose lecture entitled 🧑‍🏫 "The DNA single-strand break repair capacity of the mammalian oocytes and embryos" was included in the main lecture session.

We would like to thank our scientists for the great presentation of our Institute and wish them every success in their future research.🥰
